Is it possible to leave a book with such a title, on the shelves of a bookshop without perusing its pages? Certainly, not. But beware, it is not a sequel to Sholem Aleichem’s world-famous Tevye the Dairyman or to the Fiddler on the Roof musical, although it is about Russia – that very Russia whose choice of imposed authoritarianism forces its best citizens to flee the country for forlorn places, just like Tevye’s daughters, while trying to escape Czarist Antisemitism, left their place of birth for America.
